Tomas Rosalio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Tomas Rosalio might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Alfonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Rosalio ran back to his position shaking his head. Lanús FC's Santiago Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Arnalt in the 43rd minute of play. The Lanús FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Casaffousth FC were winning 0-1.

Camilo Estevon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Santiago Alfonso made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Camilo Estevon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Angelo Llorenc fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanús FC's protests and gave Angelo Llorenc a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredo Arnalt charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Arnalt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
