An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Gaitan in the 8th minute of play forced Tinoco's goalkeeper Matias Medardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Candido Giro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Giro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matias Medardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Giro ran back to his position shaking his head. Candido Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Augusto Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Quintun, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 24th minute, Candido Giro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Peruanton's late challenge caught a Tinoco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Peruanton helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Potrerillos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tinoco:s goal. Matias Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Gaitan in the 35th minute of play. Tinoco's Matias Medardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Gaitan in the 37th minute of play. Candido Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Gaitan to make the kick off. Tomás Marin's late challenge caught a Tinoco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Marin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Potrerillos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Marin to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Eguzki hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Matias Medardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Gaitan in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute of the match, Angel Gaitan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matias Medardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angel Gaitan in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Medardo saved Tinoco from getting behind. Nemesio Quintun scored 2-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Edorta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Ismael Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matias Medardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Gaitan in the 86th minute of play. Candido Giro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute of the match Santo Sandaili sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Medardo skillfully saved the ball. Matias Medardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Gaitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Potrerillos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tinoco.
