Ruperto Piearres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo Ermano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. When Carolo Herrera fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barracas FC's protests and gave Carolo Herrera a yellow card for diving instead. If Ariel Diagur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Castel got free with Enrique Lucila in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Sergio Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sosa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Abarca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Lucila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the match, Sosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Piearres came free, but Marcelo Ermano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Barracas FC's Enrique Lucila got control of the ball when Ariel Diagur tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Ermano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Piearres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Piearres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carolo Herrera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marcelo Ermano made a huge save. Carolo Herrera in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
