Isaias Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Efrain Markel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 11th minute Bonifacio Mateus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Caetano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Gar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Caetano having to interfere. Juan Tancredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guaberto Caetano having to make a save. A collision led to Burzaco getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jeremias Gar hit a great ball. Burzaco's Isaias Luzaide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Markel in the 22nd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Burzaco's Juan Tancredo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Caetano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Margarita FC's Guaberto Caetano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Margarita FC from getting a goal against them. Burzaco's Juan Tancredo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Juan Tancredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 38th minute, Burzaco's Bonifacio Mateus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. A collision led to Burzaco getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Juan Tancredo hit a great ball. Osvaldo Quinteros struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Isaias Luzaide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita FC. When Efrain Markel came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Margarita FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Markel couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bonifacio Mateus was the one to do the kick off. The referee gave Burzaco a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ezequiel Dalmu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Margarita FC's Guaberto Caetano. 3-1. In the 93rd minute, Osvaldo Quinteros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isaias Luzaide, passed just outside the right post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Margarita FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burzaco.
