Baldomero Santio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Breogan having to interfere. Achalco's Honorio Vigil got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atilano Berbiz during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Atilano Berbiz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Maximo Joey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Acosta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Vigil in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Hipolito Bento fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Artemio Breogan, passed just outside the right post. Maximo Joey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celedonio Valiente hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When Honorio Vigil came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Achalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Vigil couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd minute Hipolito Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Breogan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Laharrague AFC's Paulino Acosta got control of the ball when Honorio Vigil tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Leandro Moise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celedonio Valiente took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artemio Breogan. Achalco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Maximo Joey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Achalco getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Leandro Moise hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Baldomero Santio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laharrague AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baldomero Santio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Breogan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maximo Joey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Paulino Acosta was a little too slow when Leandro Moise got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-2. When the match was over Achalco could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Laharrague AFC throughout the match.
