Rene Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Lorien, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Jeronimo Nalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Abar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeronimo Nalo ran back to his position shaking his head. Olavarría's Rene Ignazio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Lorien in the 22nd minute of play. Adrian Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Abar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Nalo in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Olavarría's Victorio Rius got a free kick in the 46th minute. Leopoldo Pueblo, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some careless play in the Olain AFC defense, Omar Vela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Abar. The Olain AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Abar should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Olavarría getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Pascual Elizardo hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Dario Lorien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adrian Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Lorien in the 61st minute of play forced Olavarría's goalkeeper Rene Ignazio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Ignazio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Lorien in the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 70 minutes, Dario Lorien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olain AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Lorien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dario Lorien in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Ignazio saved Olavarría from getting behind. Adrian Vergaray's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rene Ignazio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adrian Vergaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rene Ignazio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Pueblo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
