Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 2 minutes into the game, Luisito Lorenz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarandí AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gil the free kick. A collision led to Sarandí AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Luisito Lorenz hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes Gil got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Primeiro. 10 minutes into the game, Isaac Orkatz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Denis Vachon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 13 played minutes Gil got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Arano. After a defensive mix-up in Gil's zone, Celedonio Cugat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Orti came out of the goal and Celedonio Cugat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luisito Lorenz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Denis Vachon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Lope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Sarandí AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaac Orkatz came free, but Denis Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Orkatz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Celedonio Cugat notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Gil's Enrique Orti. Enrique Orti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Gil's Enrique Orti got control of the ball when Orlando Nataniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denis Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Orkatz in the 40th minute of play. Sarandí AFC's Celedonio Cugat got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Severo Ofelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaac Orkatz in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Gil were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Ofelio was the one to do the kick off. Sarandí AFC's Severo Ofelio got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 53 played minutes Gil got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Mincho. 54 minutes into the match, Celedonio Cugat notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Gil's Enrique Orti. Enrique Orti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 60th match minute, Gil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Denis Vachon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Orkatz in the 71st minute of the match. Gil's Enrique Orti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Cugat in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Celedonio Cugat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Orti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Isaac Orkatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Orkatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Ofelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Enrique Orti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Luisito Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
