Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Zelaya AFC's Mauro Dimo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Mauro Dimo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Firmin. Ibicuy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Dimo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Alfredo Maju cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Evaristo Resto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauro Dimo might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Firmin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Dimo ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Salvatore during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th minute, one of Zelaya AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zelaya AFC. The referee gave Ibicuy FC a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anibal Lluciano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zelaya AFC's Evaristo Resto. 1-2. In the 20th match minute, Zelaya AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Iraido to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Dimo in the 22nd minute of play forced Ibicuy FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Firmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Inocencio Tiso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibicuy FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zelaya AFC the free kick. The supporters of Zelaya AFC booed when Ibicuy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Tiso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Firmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Dimo in the 24th minute of play. Orlando Normando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zelaya AFC booed when Ibicuy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Montez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes Ibicuy FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Normando. If Alfredo Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Zelaya AFC got a freekick which was hit by Blas Mincho. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Iraido during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, one of Zelaya AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zelaya AFC. Anibal Lluciano shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Romeo George had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo George sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Alfredo Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Resto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Ibicuy FC's Romeo George got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 52 minutes, Benedicto Txomin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zelaya AFC and the Ibicuy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Benedicto Txomin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Viviano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Ibicuy FC defense, Mauro Dimo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Firmin. The Ibicuy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Firmin should have stopped the shot. David Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Firmin having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Dimo in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Firmin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Ibicuy FC's Alfredo Maju sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Resto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benedicto Txomin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Emanuel Firmin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Viviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
