The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Punua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Refugio to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Egun in the 8th minute of play. Anastasio Magdaleno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Furman in the 11th minute of the match. If Juan Egun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 19th minute Emiliano Tadzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Magdaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Tadzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Hibai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Potrero AFC's Anastasio Magdaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Tadzio in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Punua booed when Potrero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Ishmael didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Punua's Desiderio Furman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anastasio Magdaleno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 39 minutes into the match, Punua's Emiliano Tadzio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Magdaleno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basilio Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Emiliano Tadzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Egun was the one to do the kick off. Remigio Tirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Cordero having to interfere. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Punua's goalkeeper Maximo Cordero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Herminio Hibai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Egun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Maximo Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Punua's Maximo Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Tirso in the 64th minute of play. In the 71st minute Juan Egun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Herminio Hibai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Punua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potrero AFC the free kick. A collision led to Punua getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Herminio Hibai hit a great ball. Juan Egun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Maximo Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Remigio Tirso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrero AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remigio Tirso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Tadzio in the 81st minute of play forced Potrero AFC's goalkeeper Anastasio Magdaleno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Furman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in Punua's zone, Genaro Padro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Cordero came out of the goal and Genaro Padro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desiderio Furman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Anastasio Magdaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Desiderio Furman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Punua had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
