Reynaldo Henric sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Etxahun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusebio Abaunza's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Hernan Bizi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teodosio Gonzales. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Bizi in the 28th minute of play forced Colmena's goalkeeper Teodosio Gonzales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Bizi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teodosio Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Bizi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Teodosio Gonzales throw himself and got hold of the ball when Hernan Bizi in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Silverio Eneas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Teodosio Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Abaunza might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Etxahun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusebio Abaunza ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Henric in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Colmena were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebio Abaunza was the one to do the kick off. Sitón AFC's Freddy Etxahun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Sitón AFC from getting a goal against them. After 60 played minutes Sitón AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Bizi. After having played for 64 minutes, Eduardo Millrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitón AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Millrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silverio Eneas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Freddy Etxahun successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hernan Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Gonzales having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Eusebio Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Eusebio Abaunza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colmena's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Abaunza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Etxahun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Abaunza, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Freddy Etxahun made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Reynaldo Henric sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
