Fulgencio Rojelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Joaquin Pacorro made a precise shot to the right of Fulgencio Rojelio. Hurlingham FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Fulgencio Rojelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Pacorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Rojelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Hartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holdich's Andres Hartz got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hurlingham FC's zone, Joaquin Pacorro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Rojelio came out of the goal and Joaquin Pacorro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hurlingham FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Rojelio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Joaquin Pacorro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Holdich fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The Hurlingham FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Holdich were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin Pacorro to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Pacorro in the 53rd minute of play forced Hurlingham FC's goalkeeper Fulgencio Rojelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Felipe Pasqual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hurlingham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Pasqual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Flor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 59 in the game by Andres Hartz from a close distance when the talented Fulgencio Rojelio managed to make a qualified save. Hurlingham FC's players were relieved. In the 61st minute, Simon Orlanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute Prospero Aritza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Holdich booed when Hurlingham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Rojelio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Hartz in the 81st minute. Joaquin Pacorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rojelio having to interfere. After 94 minutes, Eleuterio Cordaryal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holdich and the Hurlingham FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Fidel Eguntsenti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Holdich had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
