Dolores's Ricardo Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Gaztea in the 42nd minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Dolores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Burni to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Aldo Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lipeo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Gaztea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Ruben Sadurni didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Gaudencio Eate struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Abascal got free with Ruben Sadurni in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Eate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ricardo Brion tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Sadurni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Enaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Dolores's Hipolito Enaut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Sadurni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hipolito Enaut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
