In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coig's goalkeeper Romulo Paz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 6 played minutes, Coig's Dario Obano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fulgencio Eudoxio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coig reached it. Constantino Orlan hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Quebrachitos's Santiago Paskal got a free kick in the 12th minute. Tomás Bernal spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Quebrachitos's goal. Oscar Mino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Paz having to interfere. Anselmo Abilio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Oscar Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Romulo Paz made a huge save. If Ovidio Iturri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santiago Txema charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Txema the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Coig's zone, Ovidio Iturri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Paz came out of the goal and Ovidio Iturri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Coig's Romulo Paz got control of the ball when Oscar Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romulo Paz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Oscar Mino sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Quebrachitos defense, Andres Diagur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Eudoxio. The Quebrachitos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Eudoxio should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Quebrachitos's zone, Justo Telo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Eudoxio came out of the goal and Justo Telo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Bernal was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Coig's zone, Ovidio Iturri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romulo Paz came out of the goal and Ovidio Iturri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Isidro Henrico fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coig's protests and gave Isidro Henrico a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Coig's Isidro Henrico got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 68 minutes, Ciro Cordera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebrachitos and the Coig players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Coig booed when Quebrachitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Cordera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Eudoxio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulgencio Eudoxio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justo Telo in the 81st minute. Oscar Mino struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Romulo Paz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebrachitos. Romulo Paz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Iturri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quebrachitos's Fulgencio Eudoxio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Bernal in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match, Tomás Bernal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fulgencio Eudoxio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ovidio Iturri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Paz having to make a save. Coig's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
