Gervasio Hotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Ariel Vachon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gervasio Hotz. Colón AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Vachon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fausto Fero got free with Armando Gombal in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Fausto Fero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armando Gombal. The goal made the score 1-1. Rigoberto Fe charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Feliberto Igon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Hotz. Colón AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Vachon in the 37th minute of play forced Colón AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 43rd minute of the game. One of Colón AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chorrillos:s goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Elias Jurgi made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chorrillos's goalkeeper Armando Gombal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Vachon in the 64th minute of play forced Colón AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Chorrillos's Ariel Vachon in the 66th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Gervasio Hotz was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Colón AFC through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Vachon in the 74th minute of play forced Colón AFC's goalkeeper Gervasio Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Chorrillos got a freekick which was hit by Luis Rik. Isaac Romano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armando Gombal. Chorrillos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gervasio Hotz was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Ariel Vachon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ariel Vachon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Elias Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Gombal having to interfere. Jeremias Duardo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Christian Ibañez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Elias Jurgi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Jurgi in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Gombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
