The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ermegildo Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute Ermegildo Ulizes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Iraunkor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ermegildo Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadillo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Ulizes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelino Iraunkor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prudencio Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cadillo AFC's Elias Goyo got control of the ball when Virgilio Olayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Puelén FC's Prudencio Hever got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Ikatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes, Ceferino Ikatz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puelén FC and the Cadillo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Prudencio Hever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elias Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Albano Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 46th minute when Gonzalo Justin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 55 minutes, Teodoro Eudoxio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cadillo AFC and the Puelén FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cadillo AFC! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Puelén FC. Iker Salbatore stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Elias Goyo. 1-1. 61 minutes into the game, Anselmo Garoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puelén FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cadillo AFC the free kick. Elias Goyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Hever in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Hever in the 70th minute of play forced Cadillo AFC's goalkeeper Elias Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Puelén FC's Prudencio Hever nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elias Goyo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Virgilio Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Romulo Adrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cadillo AFC's Elias Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Olayo in the 86th minute of play. Virgilio Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 minutes, Sebastian Otsoko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cadillo AFC and the Puelén FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cadillo AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sebastian Otsoko hit a great ball. Cadillo AFC's Elias Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Olayo in the 93rd minute of play. Cadillo AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
