Marcial Ortzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Marcial Ortzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Llorienzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Garayalde AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Bartolo Tristan hit a great ball. Rodolfo Urdin scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerardo Urbasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Enzo Evangelista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Urbasa having to interfere. In the 35th minute Enzo Evangelista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Ortzi made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Fabian Costante sent off a good shot on target. Constantino Llorienzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Jordy took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerardo Urbasa. Gerardo Urbasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enzo Evangelista made a kick off. Constantino Llorienzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Constantino Llorienzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tunal's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Llorienzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcial Ortzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
