Hermengildo Rubio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Edur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Celio got free with Zeledon Modestio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Americo Patrido made a precise shot to the right of Hermengildo Rubio. Ñacanguazú's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Zeledon Modestio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roque Rudolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. During the 44th minute of the match Amadeo Eztebe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amadeo Eztebe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Ñacanguazú booed when Caracara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Eztebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgard Celio came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zeledon Modestio could save by the left post. The wind increased when Roque Rudolfo made the kick off in the second half. Americo Patrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Rubio having to interfere. Americo Patrido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Hermengildo Rubio made a huge save. Roque Rudolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Modestio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roque Rudolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 played minutes Caracara got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Rius. Maximino Napier, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Caracara's Americo Patrido got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ñacanguazú's Edgard Celio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Edur charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Edur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Caracara's Domingo Edur got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 87th minute, Maximino Napier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Caracara's zone, Roque Rudolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Modestio came out of the goal and Roque Rudolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgard Celio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Caracara's Braulio Enaut got a free kick in the 95th minute.
