Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Samuel Gimenez got the match started through his kick off. Osvaldo Fernado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Hitz in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Edgard Sustrai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Almona AFC booed when Formosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Firmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 played minutes Almona AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeo Heli. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 25th minute, when Formosa's Antonio Barto after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Osvaldo Fernado in Almona AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 33rd minute, Tadeo Heli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaldo Garaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Fernado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Garaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Garaona made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Tomas Quinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Hitz in the 59th minute of play forced Almona AFC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Fernado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almona AFC's Osvaldo Fernado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Hitz in the 62nd minute of play. When Prudencio Firmin fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formosa's protests and gave Prudencio Firmin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Formosa getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Prudencio Firmin hit a great ball. Tadeo Heli hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Fernado came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Formosa's Arnaldo Garaona. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Garaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Almona AFC's zone, Mauricio Hitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Fernado came out of the goal and Mauricio Hitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Arnaldo Garaona put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Osvaldo Fernado. Edgard Sustrai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Garaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Osvaldo Fernado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mauricio Hitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Almona AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Garaona came free, but Osvaldo Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Fernado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Garaona in the 94th minute of the match.
