Diego Luzea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Baumar in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolo Marin got free with Rosendo Atarratze in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Quetrequén FC's Octavio Alonso got a free kick in the 18th minute. Narciso Baumar struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Diego Luzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quetrequén FC. The supporters of Quetrequén FC booed when Tala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Lando didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cayetano Jusepe during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute, one of Tala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tala. The referee gave Quetrequén FC a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benicio Gaxan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tala's Diego Luzea. 0-1. Vladimiro Licerio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Leonides Librado hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Bartolo Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tala getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Victor Goizeder hit a great ball. Narciso Baumar struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Diego Luzea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quetrequén FC. After the first half Quetrequén FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonides Librado to make the kick off. Rosendo Atarratze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Librado in the 53rd minute of play. Tala's Leonides Librado got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Bartolo Marin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Tala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartolo Marin couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Vladimiro Licerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Quetrequén FC's Mateo Indartsu got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Tala's Diego Luzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Alonso in the 66th minute of play. Diego Luzea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Baumar in the 68th minute of play. Narciso Baumar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Diego Luzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quetrequén FC's zone, Bartolo Marin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Atarratze came out of the goal and Bartolo Marin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diego Luzea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Salvidor went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Quetrequén FC's Rosendo Atarratze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Librado in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quetrequén FC's zone, Leonides Librado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Atarratze came out of the goal and Leonides Librado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute Leonides Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Atarratze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Quetrequén FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
