In the 20th minute Florencio Nazario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobaldo Perpinya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maloyas's Ubaldo Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Bihar in the 23rd minute of play. Teobaldo Perpinya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Nazario, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Nazario in the 36th minute of play forced Freyre FC's goalkeeper Teobaldo Perpinya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Freyre FC's zone, Florencio Nazario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Perpinya came out of the goal and Florencio Nazario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alejandro Abecia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 43rd playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florencio Nazario to make the kick off. Humberto Dunixis short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Teobaldo Perpinya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 75 minutes of play, Freyre FC's Jeremias Mikelar made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ubaldo Rio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Alejandro Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freyre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Abecia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Rio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 79 played minutes Maloyas got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Berto. In the 97th minute, Primitivo Ariando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
