Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Anier Matthew made the kick off and thus started the match. Julio Semeno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aldo Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Julio Semeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Cordeara having to interfere. Gogo Frederico charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Frederico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Salta's Ismael Cordeara got control of the ball when Julio Semeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Teodor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Sandalio was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Apolo Lesardo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ismael Cordeara was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from German Mergildo. After a rather tough play, Pontaut FC's Primitivo Ixidor got a free kick in the 30th minute. Leonides Sandalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Teodor in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Leonardo Teodor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Teodor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute, Ciriaco Ioritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ciriaco Ioritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Semeno was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. Pontaut FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Leonardo Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonardo Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Salta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciriaco Ioritz to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciriaco Ioritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Sandalio having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Pontaut FC's goalkeeper Leonides Sandalio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Teodor. In the 60th minute, Ladislao Oskarbi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonardo Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Sandalio having to interfere. The supporters of Pontaut FC booed when Salta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ismael Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Sancho's late challenge caught a Pontaut FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Salta's Eugenio Sancho got a free kick in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anier Matthew in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ismael Cordeara saved Salta from getting behind. Eugenio Sancho was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 80 played minutes Salta got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Sancho. After 82 played minutes Pontaut FC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Semeno. Leonardo Teodor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Leonides Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Pontaut FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Oskarbi. 95 minutes into the match, Salta's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Semeno came free, but Ismael Cordeara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Salta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
