Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chillar's Fermin Urdaspal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eriberto Hibai charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Hibai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fermin Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Santos Fidensio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 11th minute of the match Eriberto Hibai completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eriberto Hibai a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Chillar booed when Canning AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Hibai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Fermin Urdaspal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Santos Fidensio. The goal made the score 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Canning AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Urdaspal came free, but Santos Fidensio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fermin Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Urdaspal might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santos Fidensio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fermin Urdaspal ran back to his position shaking his head. Santos Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Santos Fidensio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fermin Urdaspal in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Chillar's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Selatse came free, but Silvestre Gonsalve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canning AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fermin Urdaspal 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Fermin Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hector Selatse came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Canning AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Selatse couldn't finish the play. Fermin Urdaspal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Fidensio having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Selatse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hector Selatses short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Silvestre Gonsalve to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Marcos Oro fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canning AFC's protests and gave Marcos Oro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Marcos Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Bieito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Silvestre Gonsalve managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Canning AFC's Hector Selatse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Hector Selatse fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canning AFC's protests and gave Hector Selatse a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chillar booed when Canning AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Selatse didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Narciso Bieito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Canning AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Gorri. Narciso Bieito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Fidensio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Silvestre Gonsalve came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Canning AFC's Hector Selatse. But to his dismay, Hector Selatse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 91st match minute, Canning AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Oro to maneuver through the defense. Santos Fidensio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canning AFC's Santos Fidensio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bieito in the 94th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Hector Selatse got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Canning AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chillar.
