Estadio Alastuey

Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Esther FC's Ladislao Salomon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alastuey FC's Adriana Banegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteve Benino in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Zeledon Gaueko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Benino in the 13th minute of play forced Alastuey FC's goalkeeper Adriana Banegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alastuey FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Esther FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolfo Olo took the corner. Adolfo Olo made a great header on Alastuey FC's corner, it was just that Esther FC's Hermengildo Firman managed to reach the ball for a save. Alastuey FC were furious when Eustaquio Diaz was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alastuey FC! Osvaldo Gimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hermengildo Firman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Bertran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Firman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. When Esteve Benino came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Esther FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Benino couldn't finish the play. After 38 minutes, Victorio Cordareo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esther FC and the Alastuey FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victorio Cordareo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Osvaldo Gimenez made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Esteve Benino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adriana Banegas made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Esteve Benino sent off a good shot on target. Adriana Banegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Salomon, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Ladislao Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Alastuey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ladislao Salomon came free, but Adriana Banegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Israel Bertran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Gimenez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermengildo Firman was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Esteve Benino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Adriana Banegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Salomon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriana Banegas having to interfere. In the 77th minute Ladislao Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriana Banegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esther FC's Victorio Cordareo suffered a concussion in the 78th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 78 minutes, Joaquin Celipe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alastuey FC and the Esther FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Joaquin Celipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Osvaldo Gimenez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joaquin Celipe came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Alastuey FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquin Celipe couldn't finish the play. Esther FC's Esteve Benino got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Esther FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
