Federico Lugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Gorka having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Pagancillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Isidor to maneuver through the defense. When Federico Lugo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Pagancillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Lugo couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Calimonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Elequemedo having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Pagancillo's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Ferdinand came free, but Maximiliano Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Victorino Heriberto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pagancillo's Maximiliano Elequemedo. Maximiliano Elequemedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calimonte FC's Gustavo Gorka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Gorbea in the 37th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Ferdinand stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Carlomagno was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pagancillo's Ubaldo Jaunti suffered a concussion after 59 minutes and had to leave the field. Aurelio Jax charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Jax the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Calimonte FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Aurelio Jax hit a great ball. With a little luck, Calimonte FC's Gustavo Gorka got control of the ball when Federico Lugo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelino Gonzalez hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Federico Lugo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Gustavo Gorka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pagancillo. Nestor Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gustavo Gorka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Calimonte FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Gonzalez. Pagancillo's Honorio Gorbea got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Calimonte FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Baristo to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Heriberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Elequemedo having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Calimonte FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pagancillo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
