Everardo Millrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Feliberto Arnas made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Millrick. Animaná's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Everardo Millrick stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Froilan Menendo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Animaná's Placido Peruanton got a free kick in the 16th minute. Baldomiro Olo made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ariel Ladio sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgrano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Animaná a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gervasio Colas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Belgrano's Baldomiro Olo. 1-1. Victorio Llorienzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Baldomiro Olo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Animaná getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Higinio Txordon hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Belgrano's Clodoveo Benvido broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Baldomiro Olo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Baldomiro Olo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Ladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Ariel Ladio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Animaná's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Ladio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Animaná:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Belgrano:s goal. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Belgrano's Angelino Lorien got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Everardo Millrick. Clodoveo Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Animaná got a freekick which was hit by Gervasio Colas. Feliberto Arnas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Everardo Millrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ariel Ladio in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomiro Olo saved Belgrano from getting behind. Froilan Menendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Millrick having to interfere. Belgrano's Baldomiro Olo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Llorienzo in the 94th minute of play.
