In the 24th minute, Santo Iratze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ayacucho FC's Dalmacio Uhin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Primo in the 26th minute of play. Laureano Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Urbano Vito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute of the match Saverio Belasko sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmacio Uhin skillfully saved the ball. If Damaso Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Damaso Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pocito's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Lia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Uhin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 90th minute, one of Ayacucho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ayacucho FC. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Pocito. Gaudencio Ordono stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dalmacio Uhin. 1-1. The Pocito players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ayacucho FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
