Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Feliberto Gai started the match with the kick off. Elias Hechter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Vela having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Maquinas FC! Carmelo Maldonado walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 18 minutes into the match, Maquinas FC's goalkeeper Israel Peyo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jose Nuno. Israel Peyo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jose Nuno sent off a good shot on target. Jose Nuno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Israel Peyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Israel Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Gai in the 27th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Jose Nuno took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Israel Peyo to make any attempt to save it. Jose Nuno's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Israel Peyo firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Maquinas FC defense, Jose Nuno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Israel Peyo. The Maquinas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Israel Peyo should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Eder stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cavanagh AFC's Domingos Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Eder in the 52nd minute of play. If Elias Hechter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Peyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Nuno in the 91st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Gaxan during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cavanagh AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
