The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, Gerardo Gerazan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Americo Madaleno, 2-0. Claudio Leoncio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Iker Chale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Canor in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Chale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Pilcomayo AFC's zone, Claudio Leoncio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Chale came out of the goal and Claudio Leoncio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the game, Burruyaco FC's Florentino Canor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Chale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 32 minutes into the game, Pablo Barto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pilcomayo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burruyaco FC the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, Pilcomayo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Barto to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Gabriel Ixidor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Chale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentino Canor couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Gerazan made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Felix Pes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Americo Madaleno was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Israel Osorio during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Pilcomayo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Osorio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 72 minutes, Felix Pes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilcomayo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Pes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Iker Chale successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burruyaco FC's goalkeeper Americo Madaleno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Felix Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Pes scored 4-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Americo Madaleno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pilcomayo AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
