Alumbrera FC's Emiliano Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Shepherd in the 4th minute of play. Emiliano Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Shepherd, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Alumbrera FC's Emiliano Rey got control of the ball when Tomas Bernaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lino Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Rey having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Pilcomayo's Tomas Bernaldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Rey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Elpidio Indalecio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pilcomayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alumbrera FC the free kick. Elpidio Indalecio kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes, Alumbrera FC's Froilan Vela shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Isaias Urtsua came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alumbrera FC reached it. Isaias Urtsua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Toribio, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anibal Loreto during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Pilcomayo got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Loreto. When Hilario Timo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Alumbrera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Timo couldn't finish the play. When Alumbrera FC's Cornelio Toribio in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pilcomayo's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Pilcomayo's Gilberto Cortez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Hilario Timo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Urtsua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lino Shepherd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Rey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Lino Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Emiliano Rey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Alumbrera FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lino Shepherd fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Alumbrera FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Isaias Abascal hit a great ball. If Tomas Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Hilario Timo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaias Urtsua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cornelio Toribio was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Pilcomayo got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Indalecio. Froilan Vela missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 53 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Isaias Urtsua right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amancio Montae during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Pilcomayo got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Montae. In the 56th minute, Hilario Timo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedicto Maurin hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilario Timo got free with Isaias Urtsua in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 59 played minutes Pilcomayo got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Montae. In the 60th minute, Hilario Timo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Hilario Timo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Alumbrera FC fans jumped to their feet. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Rey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Alumbrera FC's Cornelio Toribio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaias Urtsua narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Hilario Timo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alumbrera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Timo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Urtsua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th match minute, Pilcomayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Shepherd to maneuver through the defense. Cornelio Toribio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Pilcomayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Indalecio to maneuver through the defense. Cornelio Toribio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaias Urtsua read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
