The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Pilcomayo's Isaias Urtsua got control of the ball when Hugo Quilino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pilcomayo's Isaias Urtsua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Magdaleno in the 26th minute of play. Osvaldo Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Shepherd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Medero having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, Pilcomayo's Tomas Bernaldo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Medero was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Hugo Quilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Anier Magdaleno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caspichango AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Magdaleno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Urtsua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes of play, Caspichango AFC's Anier Magdaleno made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Shepherd in the 84th minute of play forced Caspichango AFC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Medero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Felix Lluc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Medero didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. 95 minutes into the game, Caspichango AFC's Anier Magdaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaias Urtsua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Caspichango AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
