Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lino Shepherd took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Tomas Bernaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Britos's Paulo Lordi got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lucas Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Britos's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Dino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Urtsua breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Britos's Lucas Dino got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Chayo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Pilcomayo defense, Baldomero Montrel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isaias Urtsua. The Pilcomayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isaias Urtsua should have stopped the shot. Mario Ilazki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Bernaldo in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Cristos saved Britos from getting behind. Lucas Dino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Isaias Urtsua skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eduardo Cristos came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilcomayo's Tomas Bernaldo. But to his dismay, Tomas Bernaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Shepherd in the 34th minute of play forced Britos's goalkeeper Eduardo Cristos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Pilcomayo's goalkeeper Isaias Urtsua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Dino. Isaias Urtsua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Ilazki's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Lino Shepherd struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Eduardo Cristos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilcomayo. In the 46th minute Lino Shepherd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Cristos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Ilazki to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lucas Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Cortez during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pilcomayo's Gilberto Cortez got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Tomas Bernaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Lucas Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Britos's Eduardo Cristos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Britos from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the game, Amancio Montae was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pilcomayo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Britos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pilcomayo's Amancio Montae got a free kick in the 87th minute. Mario Ilazki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaias Urtsua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Ilazki in the 97th minute of play. Pilcomayo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
