The supporters of Peguahó AFC booed when Hilario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Jonatan Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Quinteros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Hilario got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Libertad. Jonatan Ermengol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nereo Quinteros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Oihenarte in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nereo Quinteros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cesar Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Matias Oihenarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesar Endura kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Ralondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Hilario's Daniel Ralondo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeremias Edorta. Jeremias Edorta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After having played for 38 minutes, Matias Oihenarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peguahó AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Oihenarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hilario's goalkeeper Nereo Quinteros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nereo Quinteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Oihenarte in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Bernardo Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Libertad hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Jonatan Ermengol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Quinteros having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Peguahó AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Ralondo came free, but Jeremias Edorta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Matias Oihenarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruperto Guerrero's late challenge caught a Peguahó AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Guerrero helped the player get up and apologised. Ruperto Guerrero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Peguahó AFC's Matias Oihenarte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Peguahó AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
