The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardino Cortez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Feliberto Remicio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Cortez having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Bermudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Osorio. Taficillo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ildefonso Bermudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Gisela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Odon to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Ulises Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Osorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Gombal in the 22nd minute of the match. Federico Unai kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The corner led Taficillo FC's Bernardino Montae to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernardino Cortez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edelmiro Gombal to make the kick off.
