Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timoteo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidro Macerio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, Goyena AFC's Alvaro Frechoso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timoteo Pereyra was left in no man's land by his defense there!

If Saturnino Nerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Gagriel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Sanchez in the 58th minute of play. Geronimo Opilano hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Arnoldo Tancredo kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Clodoveo Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mascasín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Sanchez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clodoveo Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geronimo Opilano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 78th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Goyena AFC's zone, Geronimo Opilano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Gagriel came out of the goal and Geronimo Opilano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geronimo Opilano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes Goyena AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Tancredo. When Isidro Macerio came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Mascasín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Macerio couldn't finish the play. Mascasín's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
