Palmitas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segundo Semeno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Honorio Izotz's late challenge caught a Palmitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorio Izotz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palmitas booed when Magdala AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes Magdala AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Ikatz. If Bernardino Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Segundo Semeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristides Segio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 28 played minutes Magdala AFC got a freekick which was hit by Honorio Izotz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Venceslao in the 29th minute of play forced Magdala AFC's goalkeeper Laureano Eufrasio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Magdala AFC's zone, Benigno Eleazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Eufrasio came out of the goal and Benigno Eleazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Celestino Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Celestino Venceslao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Eufrasio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Laureano Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Venceslao, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Benigno Eleazar came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Palmitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benigno Eleazar couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Fulgencio Perutxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celestino Venceslao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Celestino Venceslao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laureano Eufrasio was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celestino Venceslao was the one to do the kick off. If Bernardino Errando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Segundo Semeno struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Aristides Segio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magdala AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Celestino Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palmitas reached it. Laureano Eufrasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Eleazar in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Magdala AFC's zone, Lino Guilabertus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Eufrasio came out of the goal and Lino Guilabertus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
