Pedro Bieito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sorento AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ruben Abella 5 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Zacarias Peter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Karmel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A collision led to Ballesteros getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pedro Bieito hit a great ball. Abel Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Lidon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Gartzen might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godfredo Chap. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benedicto Gartzen ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomiro Ramone in the 22nd minute of play forced Ballesteros's goalkeeper Abel Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Lidon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldomiro Ramone succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Abella in the 30th minute of play forced Sorento AFC's goalkeeper Godfredo Chap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godfredo Chap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Abella, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Baldomiro Ramone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Abel Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ruben Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lisandro Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Sorento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Paz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sorento AFC booed when Ballesteros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Ostots didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match Federico Dolfo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Karmel skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Sorento AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ezequiel Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Karmel having to interfere. Sorento AFC's Baldomiro Ramone got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ballesteros's Pedro Bieito got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Pedro Bieito off the ground. In the 58th match minute, Ballesteros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Bieito to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Lidon struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Abel Karmel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorento AFC. Abel Karmel was a little too slow when Baldomiro Ramone got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-4. If Baldomiro Ramone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Abella during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Ramone in the 74th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Sorento AFC's Federico Dolfo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Abel Karmel. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sorento AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
