After 15 minutes Cacheuta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modesto Etxekopar who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Maidana in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Nalo saved Upinango from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Ramon Hernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Cacheuta FC's Benedicto Jakes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Evaristo Iruinea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Gabriel Avellaneda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Iruinea. Cacheuta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Avellaneda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Robustiano Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Cacheuta FC's Benedicto Jakes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oscar Nalo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Oscar Nalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Gabriel Avellaneda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnulfo Ostargi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oscar Nalo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Ramon Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Domingo Franco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Upinango's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Franco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Iruinea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Upinango could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cacheuta FC throughout the match.
