When Oscar Millan got free in front of the goal in the 15th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Lucio Bermudo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Paraní was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Chesus to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Millan in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lucio Bermudo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Omar Claris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Inocente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Paraní's Lucio Bermudo got control of the ball when Oscar Millan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Oscar Millan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Batista to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Aristides Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Bermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Torrent's Baldomiro Paulin tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, one of Torrent:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Torrent. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paraní had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
