Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Protestante's Leonides Manny started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agustin Sal kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Armando Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Harkaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Etxeberri in the 8th minute of the match. Humberto Etxeberri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Armando Kauldi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaac Harkaitz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 14th minute, Humberto Etxeberri made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Harkaitz. Protestante's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Anibal Erdiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Erdiano in the 22nd minute of play forced Humaitá's goalkeeper Jesus Garoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac Harkaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Etxeberri went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Protestante's Isaac Harkaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Kauldi in the 29th minute of play. Freddy Peru's late challenge caught a Protestante's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Peru helped the player get up and apologised. Freddy Peru hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Mariano Lehoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Protestante's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lehoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Garoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Humaitá booed when Protestante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Peruxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 played minutes Protestante got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Chap. Jesus Garoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Manny in the 69th minute of play. Amadeo Venceslao's late challenge caught a Humaitá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Venceslao helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Armando Kauldi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Isaac Harkaitz, passed just outside the right post. Leonides Manny blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jesus Garoa having to make a save. Efrain Florian charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Florian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Humaitá's Efrain Florian got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Jesus Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Bastian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Etxeberri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Isaac Harkaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Kauldi took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaac Harkaitz. Isaac Harkaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Humaitá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
