The supporters of Otamendi booed when Lileo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Victorio Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Lileo FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Lileo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Galindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Bastia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Lileo FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mauro Beturian hit a great ball. Aldo Bastia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorio Menendo in the 95th minute.
