Goldney FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Escalante FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes Goldney FC got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Gaxan. 13 minutes into the game, Cristo Shantala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Godofredo Petrigai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Escalante FC booed when Goldney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristo Shantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Eustacio Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Cristo Shantala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Godofredo Petrigai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edelmiro Millan came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Escalante FC's Nemesio Eztebe. But to his dismay, Nemesio Eztebe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Cristo Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Goldney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Jusepe came free, but Edelmiro Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Eztebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jesus Gonchan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, one of Goldney FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Goldney FC. Goldney FC:s Edelmiro Millan showed great skill when he stopped Anselmo Cordairo:s penalty. Anselmo Cordairo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edelmiro Millan. Goldney FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Cristo Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristo Shantala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edelmiro Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Jusepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Escalante FC booed when Goldney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a penalty for Goldney FC! In the 72nd minute, Anselmo Cordairo made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Millan. Goldney FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nemesio Eztebe in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edelmiro Millan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristo Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Shantala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godofredo Petrigai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Inguma, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Nemesio Eztebe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Edelmiro Millan made a huge save. Nemesio Eztebe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edelmiro Millan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Edelmiro Millan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Jusepe in the 97th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
