Genaro Oihan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Onbera in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinicio Laurin during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinicio Laurin hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goldney FC's zone, Everardo Lleir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Millan came out of the goal and Everardo Lleir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Natal in the 10th minute of play forced Goldney FC's goalkeeper Edelmiro Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Oihan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Shantala in the 13th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Copacabana FC's Edelmiro Millan threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernando Natal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A hard shot 19 in the game by Everardo Lleir from a close distance when the talented Edelmiro Millan managed to make a qualified save. Goldney FC's players were relieved. In the 23rd match minute, Copacabana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Pereyra to maneuver through the defense. Niceto Onbera struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Genaro Oihan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goldney FC. 26 minutes into the match, Copacabana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Onbera came free, but Genaro Oihan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Antonio Gaxan fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goldney FC's protests and gave Antonio Gaxan a yellow card for diving instead. Antonio Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Goldney FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Fernando Natal scored to the left of an out of position Edelmiro Millan, making the score, 1-0. Goldney FC's Edelmiro Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Natal in the 35th minute of play. Fernando Natal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Millan having to interfere. Edelmiro Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Natal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Niceto Onbera came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Goldney FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Onbera couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Natal to make the kick off. Edelmiro Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Natal, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Fernando Natal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Goldney FC's Cristo Shantala got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fernando Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Fernando Natal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Millan. Goldney FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Natal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Everardo Lleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Millan having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Cristo Shantala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Oihan. Copacabana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Shantala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Niceto Onbera took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Genaro Oihan to make any attempt to save it. Fernando Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Millan having to interfere. Edelmiro Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Lleir, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Vinicio Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
