Genaro Oihan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lisandro Manny during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Jonatan Jusepe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Danilo Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Natal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jonatan Jusepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Escalante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Jusepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Oihan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jonatan Jusepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. Genaro Oihan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Eztebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonatan Jusepe to strike the kick off in the second half. If Nemesio Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Jonatan Jusepe in the 55th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Everardo Lleir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Petrigai having to interfere. When Fernando Natal came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Copacabana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Natal couldn't finish the play. Jonatan Jusepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Oihan having to make a save. Everardo Lleir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Copacabana FC's Fernando Natal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Petrigai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Copacabana FC's Genaro Oihan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Copacabana FC from getting a goal against them. If Nemesio Eztebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Lleir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godofredo Petrigai having to interfere. Copacabana FC's Genaro Oihan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Santo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute Fernando Natal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Petrigai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of Escalante FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Escalante FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Copacabana FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
