Cirilo Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Mitxel having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Azul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Fraco to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Dominix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Liher having to interfere. Evelio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Fraco in the 27th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delmiro Tono to strike the kick off in the second half. Evelio Liher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anastasio Mino in the 52nd minute. When Silverio Dacio fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toscas's protests and gave Silverio Dacio a yellow card for diving instead.
