The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mixta AFC's Ruben Gauargi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Garin in the 5th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Tiaguas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Rexino to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mixta AFC booed when Tiaguas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delmiro Chus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Gauargi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Guido Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiaguas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Garin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Gauargi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 22 in the game by Delmiro Chus from a close distance when the talented Ruben Gauargi managed to make a qualified save. Mixta AFC's players were relieved. After 25 played minutes Tiaguas FC got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Celio. Delmiro Chus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Gauargi made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Delmiro Chus sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Mixta AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Rigoberto Ibar hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Everardo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guido Garin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ruben Gauargi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play Tiaguas FC's Conrado Rexino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Conrado Rexino kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Ariel Rexino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiaguas FC and the Mixta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Tiaguas FC got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Rexino. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tiaguas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fidel Ciano was slow to take the kick. During this time Mixta AFC's players had a chance to rest. Julio Dominguez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 85th playminute. Mixta AFC's Julio Dominguez got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Dominguez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Alejandro Txordon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 93 minutes into the match, Tiaguas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Rumaldo came free, but Alejandro Txordon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
