Lisandro Roderigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lisandro Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cañuelas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lucas Chorche hit a great ball. Cañuelas's Isaac Beremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Mogel in the 12th minute of play. Raimundo Orlanda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Osoitz in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute Edelmiro Obano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Orlanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Orlanda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pirquita's zone, Lisandro Roderigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Orlanda came out of the goal and Lisandro Roderigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lisandro Roderigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Orlanda having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Laffitte during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pirquita getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jacinto Laffitte hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Mogel was the one to do the kick off. During the 57th minute of the match Jacinto Laffitte completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jacinto Laffitte a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Lisandro Roderigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Cañuelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Joanes to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Orlanda was a little too slow when Tomas Osoitz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Edelmiro Obano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañuelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Obano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimundo Orlanda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pirquita! The referee gave Cañuelas a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pastor Fiz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pirquita's Raimundo Orlanda. 0-4. Tomas Osoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Orlanda having to interfere. Cañuelas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
