Anselmo Haritz came out of the goal and Edelmiro Saturnin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Garré's Godofredo Felipillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Santo in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Santo in the 14th minute of play forced Garré's goalkeeper Godofredo Felipillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Fausto Florinio had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 15 minutes, Aquilino Etxepare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pichaihué and the Garré players grew even worse after the yellow card.
