Osvaldo Eguerdi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Potrerillos FC. Ubaldo Pietro kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Antonio Enmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Ibañez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Enmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonio Enmanuel scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Ibañez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cirilo Kauldi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 21st minute. Lagunilla AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Basilio Ibañez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Enmanuel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Cayetano Lluques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potrerillos FC and the Lagunilla AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Potrerillos FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cirilo Kauldi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Basilio Ibañez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirilo Kauldi in the 30th minute. A collision led to Potrerillos FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Arnulfo Katia hit a great ball. Basilio Ibañez made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cirilo Kauldi sent off a good shot on target. If Ildefonso Herauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Haroldo Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Osvaldo Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Ulises Celipe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Haroldo Abella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potrerillos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Abella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Eguerdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Enmanuel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Potrerillos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Enmanuel came free, but Basilio Ibañez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lagunilla AFC's Osvaldo Eguerdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ildefonso Herauso in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Cirilo Kauldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Ibañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Lagunilla AFC's protests and gave Roberto Tartalo a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Lagunilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Tartalo. Ildefonso Herauso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Osvaldo Eguerdi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Eguerdi made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Haroldo Abella sent off a good shot on target. Basilio Ibañez came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Lagunilla AFC's Cirilo Kauldi. But to his dismay, Cirilo Kauldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 89th minute Antonio Enmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Ibañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lagunilla AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Potrerillos FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
