The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Jairo Barea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Birjaio struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Omar Intxixu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rueda FC. In the 24th match minute, Icaño AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Eliu to maneuver through the defense. When Florencio Gentza came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Rueda FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Gentza couldn't finish the play. Omar Intxixu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Lehoi in the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laureano Leobardo during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Icaño AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florencio Gentza ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Rueda FC's corner Clemente Manni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Omar Intxixu quite easily take care of the ball. Fulgencio Tab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Barea in the 56th minute of play. Clodoveo Azubeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgardo Isauro charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
