In the 42nd minute Nereo Cresencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Shepherd's late challenge caught a Guascan AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Shepherd helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lules's Jaime Shepherd got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Cresencio was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Cresencio in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Figueroa saved Guascan AFC from getting behind. When Lules's Baltasar Santiago in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
